This included navigation of John Holland's Coprorate governance process and communication to John Holland's executive team.

Preparation of a competivie submission for the construction of Track, OHLE and Signalling within the Metro tunnel. Leading the bid team of construction, estimating and program specalists to prepare the competitive submission and returnable schedules. In addition the assignment included the navigation of the necessary corprate approvals with John Holland.

Rail Infrastructure Alliance:

Engaged by RIA to manage the development of major Scope Variation Requests has resulted in the development and award of over $450m of additional works. Primarily the works have been for additional signalling, overhead wiring and track works required for the Sunbury Line upgrade. This process has required the management of all aspects of the development process from design, engineering, constructability and staging, program, estimation and notably the navigation of the corporate governance and approval process for each Alliance partner.

Development of construction staging and input to concept design and cost estimation for the development of a realistic budget estimate and project delivery timeframe for the business case. The proposed construction solution minimised impact on day to day train operations while maintaining access to the station.

Development of the Track construction methodology, estimate and program for CYP's Metro Tunnel winning tender submission. Including the development of the tender design for rail infrastructure focusing on ease of installation and utilisation of type approved products. It also included development of the interface strategy for cross functional elements (eg surface works, station construction, tunnelling, cross passages, M&E, rail construction and commissioning events). Also assisting in the development of the supporting rail safety and accreditation strategy.

Fulfilling the client side role of Deputy Contract Director for the construction of the 4.5km long elevated “skytrain” viaduct and 350m span cable stayed bridge. Issues during project delivery required a hands on approach to quality and program, specifically in the precasting of bridge segments. The issues resulted in an extended commerical and contractual negotiations and working with the clients lawyers to assess and respond to contractor claims.

Constructability Advisor - Level Crossing Removals (Grange and Poath Roads)

Development of an accelerated business case for removal of the Grange and Poath road level crossings on the Dandenong Line. The assignment included working with the reference designers and schedulers to develop a construction, staging solution and budget for inclusion to the business case. Noting, this business case became the catalyst for the subsequent Skytrain project that removed 9 level crossing on the Deandenong line.
